OUTCRY ENSEMBLE GOVERNING DOCUMENT

This document outlines the governing principles of the Charity: Outcry Ensemble

The charity's objectives are to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of, the art of classical music among the people and communities of the Notting Hill area of London and the surrounding area including central London. The charity also aims to support and promote new music written by young composers and support the professional development of young orchestral musicians.

The charity will achieve these objectives by putting on public concerts based at St John’s church in Notting Hill as well as working with local magazines, schools, players, composers and communities in the area.

The charity is run by the board of trustees who will serve to promote, oversee and regulate the activities of the charity. The board will meet a minimum of twice a year to discuss the activities and plans of the charity including review of previous and planned concerts as well as the state of fundraising for the charity.

The charity plans its seasons on an annual basis. Before the season is announced the trustees must be presented financial projections for the season by the artistic director and manager and voted on.

If at any point the objectives or administration of the charity needs to be changed it will be agreed by a majority vote of the trustees and if necessary, an amendment made to either the governing document or the articles of incorporation.

If the charity wishes to disband it must be agreed through a majority of the trustees. The board will undertake to ensure that all planned concerts that have at that point been advertised and financially supported by donors to the charity if at all possible.
