The Concert
The Outcry Ensemble is proud to present this special event, held the day before Remembrance Sunday, in collaboration with the Royal British Legion. We encourage all audience members to support this vital charity and the work it does for veterans.
The Children’s Choir will feature pupils from George Green’s School and St Paul’s Way Trust School, two London schools working with The Outcry Ensemble as part of our growing community engagement and outreach programme, in partnership with Sizewell Creative. They will be joined by members of the Pembroke College Girls’ Choir, Cambridge, directed by Luke Fitzgerald.
Join The Outcry Ensemble for a monumental performance of Britten’s War Requiem — a masterpiece of 20th-century choral music that interweaves the Latin Requiem Mass with Wilfred Owen’s powerful anti-war poetry. Featuring three soloists, a large chorus, a children’s choir, and two orchestras, Britten’s work conveys both the grandeur and the futility of human conflict.
This performance takes place on the eve of Remembrance Sunday, marking eighty years since the end of the Second World War.
Tickets starting for the talk cost £5
